Bahria Town Chairman Malik Riaz Hussain was been awarded with a humanitarian award on the big occasion of World Water Day by Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
Bahria Town CEO Zain Malik accepted the award on behalf of his father during a ceremony.
Governor Sarwar also put though his greetings to Malik Riaz and family whilst stating that the Bahria Town had played a key role in all of the social work activities in the country. “Successful and prominent businesses have a responsibility to serve community and Malik Riaz Hussain is fulfilling his responsibility in a befitting manner,” he further added to his statement.
Moreover, the host of this event; Human Rights Group, specified and appreciated the contributing efforts by the Malik riaz and family for the welfare of the general masses. Malik Riaz. They further quoted Malik Riaz as the “humanitarian amongst the businessmen” in the country.
It has been specifically mentioned that Bahria Town donated Rs 200 million for the drought victims in Tharparkar whereas a sum of Rs100 million was announced for the help of the victims by the respective provincial government. Also, More than 100,000 people get free meals twice a day by Bahria Town Dastarkhwans, spread across 15 different locations in the country.
